During the course of six months of Cinema’s collection and creation in two years, screenwriter Zou Jingzhi collected a large number of real stories. He finally chose the Fourth Regiment of the Second Division of the Central Red Army as the prototype of the story and focused on shaping the protagonist, Political Commissar Peng.

This is a scene that shows the famous battle to capture Luding Bridge. In the epic of the large dance music “KomiksOriental Red”, Cinema performed this battle on the stage in the form of a dance. The opera “Long March” uses a double-layer stage structure and the running of actors, and never shows the urgency of the Red Fourth League when traveling forty miles a day to Luding Bridge.
